Powdered Herbs — Churna

Churna is one of Ayurveda’s most common herbal preparations, especially in North India. The herbs can be easily mixed and measured, then taken as a powder so the whole herb is consumed. This makes Churna one of the most potent ways to take Ayurvedic herbs. Traditional Churna recipes address a wide range of health concerns.

Ayurvedic Dosha Focus

Churna is dry by nature and can increase Vata. It is often taken with an Anupana, or carrier—a food or liquid such as milk, aloe vera, honey, or ghee. The carrier can help target the product’s action and support dosha balance. Each product suggests a carrier; while not required, it is highly recommended.
